Somehow he got stuck on talking about his previous teacher. I reminded him that he is at the middle school now and he has been there with his new teacher since August. We got dressed and once again he wore jeans. It was cold so I put long sleeves and a heavy jacket on him. He handled it all well. He got on the bus talking about tomorrow and his previous teacher.
When he got home the conversation immediately started about his previous teacher. He was barely off the bus when he went through it all again. He was calm though. It seems like when he has time off it makes him contemplate which school he is at. I hope that as the days wear on he will be back to understanding he is at the middle school and will continue to be there.
He wanted lots of snacks and a big dinner. The whole night was focused on food, which school he was at, and what his day was going to be like tomorrow. My prayer is that tomorrow goes smoothly and he can handle seeing his therapist in any outfit she is in.
Tomorrow I go for my fifth chemo infusion out of six. This one hit me differently. My stomach hasn’t settled much but I have been able to eat. It just constantly makes lots of rumbles. I feel strong though and ready for tomorrow.
I’m glad Owen was mostly calm all evening until he was ready to go to bed. He mentioned which teacher he was going to see at least fifty times and kept getting out of bed. He finally fell asleep and I pray he sleeps all night. His laughter is what makes my heart happy and his amazing smile. Laugh until your heart is content and know that you are amazing. Smiles to all and donut daze!
