He woke with the question of making sure school was going to happen and that he was taking the bus. That subject never really left but he then moved on to talking about words. He was so happy he could use his school app at home. He still wants to answer the questions wrong so he can hear the boing sounds but at least he kept moving forward to answer the questions correctly as well.
“Do not talk about the verP,” he said, saying the word “verb” more with a P sound, laughing the entire time. I asked him when we should not talk about verbs but he laughed and said, “Double H questions no verbs.” He has mentioned “double H questions” many times but I couldn’t figure out what he meant. I finally got it today. He is saying double instead of the letter W so he is referring to the words like where, when, and who. The boy keeps me on my toes and we are both learning a lot.
When he got home he was hungry and happy that he got to go to school today. He told me was going to school tomorrow and he would see all his people. I hoped he remembered that as the night went on. Every night he now asks me for Facebook. I asked him why he wanted it and he said, “Pictures.” He was calm but very clingy all night. He thought everything was funny and he would laugh hysterically. He wanted to sit next to me and everywhere I went he was right there with me but it was all worth it to hear his laugh.
Bath time led to him sitting with me in the white bed that technically right now is more green and pink with all the blankets on top. He completely covered himself with the blanket like it was a tent and laughed again about everything. He only wanted me to come to his bed twice and he didn’t get out of it at all so hopefully he will sleep all night. He is very excited about school and therapy for tomorrow. His happiness is my joy. Be in the moment and find the joy that someone shares from their heart. Smiles to all and donut daze!
