He wanted to make sure I knew today was his day for therapy. I had told him that we were going to music early so he could meet a new friend. They were going to have a session together. He was not sure what that meant but I knew he would make the connections once we got there.
I had told him yesterday I was going to call this morning to make sure I had the right day we were going back to his vision therapy. With the holiday and his doctor’s vacation, I wanted to make sure I had it right. I called and confirmed. After he heard me call he came to me and started telling me all the steps I had done. He was excited he would be going.
We were off to his music session and he was going to meet his new friend. I was excited about this experience for him and I’m very thankful that he enjoyed his time. Owen is always wanting to do things with people so this will give us another opportunity for him to have a great friend.
We came home for a little bit so we could eat lunch and then we went to his vision therapy. He was very excited about seeing his doctor. He was a little high-strung, but he was able to do all of the exercises. His words and connections are becoming incredibly strong and he has come so far.
The rest of the evening went quickly and he is ready for his day tomorrow. He will be spending part of his day with his grandma while I go for physical therapy. Each day is a gift and I’m thankful for how far he has come. Find joy in the little things and let it change your world. Smiles to all and donut daze!
