School was the first thing Owen asked for when he woke up. He said, “it’s Monday”, when I told him he wasn’t going to school today. How do you explain holidays. He’s feeling better, we did our normal weekend routine, so he knew today was Monday. Or at least I think he understands. As the week wears on I’m not sure if understand the difference in the days of the week, but I feel like he grasps the routine of Saturday, Sunday, and then Monday. He knows he goes to school all week, and then it’s our weekend. When he woke, he ran to me in the kitchen. I had been up for a little while. He immediately asked for milk, and crackers, running to the front window to look outside. That’s when he asked for school. He got his tablet, and started playing with his school apps. I put his first breakfast out; I always set out dry cereal for him when first wakes up. After a few minutes he walked to the freezer, and got the chicken out. I think it is about time I teach the dude how to cook, or at least how to turn the microwave on. I asked him if he wanted something different. I had planned on fixing eggs, but as well as our dinner went the night before, I thought I should see what he really wanted. So I gave him options. He stuck firmly by his chicken decision. I told him I would make the chicken, and he could have pancakes, or French toast, as well. The chicken is gone from his plate, and the French toast has slowly been eaten; however some may have been put between his toes. I think we’ll go on some adventures today. I’m not sure where we will go, but the adventures await. Owen’s having a great morning, and I hope that we can have some fun. He’s now asking for the elevators, so I think we may have found our adventure. Find your motivation, dream big, and make today matter. Smiles to all and donut daze!
