Life happens when you have something else planned. Owen is sick. He woke up around four telling me he needed to see his doctor. This also meant that I would not be going to my radiation appointment. Even though he was not feeling good he did not stop talking for three hours straight so he was very perky and alert.
He was disappointed that he wasn’t going to be able to go to school so that he could be there for their Valentine’s Day party. I called the doctor’s office and they were able to get us in. Owen was very happy though he was going to see his doctor. His biggest question was if she was going to be wearing blue pants. The morning went quickly and we headed off to his appointment.
She was in blue jeans which made him very happy. No flu. She thought it was his usual sinus infection like he gets almost every year. Since he was still pretty active and had been eating she called in his usual antibiotic that dries it out.j
He wanted to go to Wendy’s but I told him we would go when we could get his medicine. I called about his medicine and it was going to be done close to five. I was glad I took him to the doctor. For him, it turns from sinuses to so much more if medicine isn’t started right away. We headed out to Wendy’s and then to get his medicine.
I already told him he wasn’t going to see his grandma tomorrow. He has a holiday on Monday so he is going to spend some time with his grandma on Monday after my appointment so his schedule will be different for tomorrow. I was also hoping this would help him sleep better tonight.
He was very calm for the rest of the night and even went to bed a little bit early. I know he was exhausted, but I’m so thankful that it was only his sinuses.
