He started getting prepared for his day at two in the morning. He was ready to go and that was that. The lights started going on and off, the screaming started, and him ready to get dressed. I told him it was still nighttime but that led to more screams. I told him he could have his tablet but we would not be going swimming today when he got home from school. He is always thinking and this is constantly affecting his sleep. Any and all noises will wake him depending on what else is going on for him.
When he got home from school he immediately told me that his friend did not wear blue pants and he was riding the bus home on Wednesday. He kept going telling me I was picking him up on Thursday and on Friday it was the bus again. He said he was seeing his grandma tomorrow and Saturday but he was also going swimming, to the library, dinner, and bowling tomorrow night. So we will see how all that goes but I told him we would not go anywhere if he didn’t sleep tonight.
The rest of the night was pretty calm but he wanted to look at maps of the area. I tried to get him to use Google Earth because it is the easiest to move around on but he kept trying different maps but it only showed streets, not the actual buildings. He wanted to “get a new one” but still wouldn’t use the one that showed what he wanted so I have to assume he is looking for something else but can’t tell me what that is.
He wanted me to help him with his tablet most of the night and sat with me playing. He talked more about his days and told me he couldn’t be “upper night.” I’m praying that we aren’t up all night. I’m thankful for his connections and his growth. Treat each new day like it will be your victory day. Smiles to all and donut daze!
